Sydney model Sarah Marie Summer has had three breast augmentations and filler in her lips and cheekbones.
In total she’s spent $30,000 on cosmetic surgery and injectables – and she’s only in her 20s.
Since undergoing the procedures, Sarah bears a striking resemblance to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
‘The comparison took me by surprise to start with but it’s definitely a compliment, she’s stunning and unique. I also get told I look like Christina Aguilera,’ Sarah told FEMAIL.
‘I’ve just always been a fan of big lips and a doll like aesthetic in general and wanted to be an enhanced version of myself,’ the 26-year-old continued.
Most women bring in a selection of photographs to their surgery appointment in order to explain the look they’re after.
And while some choose American sweethearts like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston to replicate, more Australian celebrities like Iggy Azalea are being picked as ‘goal’ bodies and faces.
FEMAIL spoke to cosmetic surgeon Dr Naomi McCullum from The Manse Clinic about which A-listers have made the cut and why it’s important to remember that most celebrity pictures are photoshopped.
‘For many years we have been getting a lot of patients who have been inspired by Nicole Kidman for freckle removal,’ she said.
‘But the biggest Aussie celeb that cosmetic patients are inspired by right now is Margot Robbie. She is ‘goals’ as they say. Her face is immaculate.’
Clients at Dr Naomi’s clinic are also talking about Sia who has dramatically transformed her face over the years.
‘People are more focused on individual facial areas, for example they might say, “I really want Margot Robbie’s jawline” or they might say, “What has Iggy Azalea done to her eyes? I need that”.
‘Often cosmetic patients try and find celebs who have the same “flaws” as they do and then discuss getting them improved,’ she said.
But it’s important when you’re looking for inspirational photos not to get hung up on the idea that you need to be that celebrity.
‘The one thing I always have to remind patients about is the serious editing that goes on with celeb images. The images that they are looking at are not even true representations of what the celeb looks like in real life.
‘I tell them to follow @celebface on Instagram, as this outs all the celebs for their extreme editing. It seems that every celeb is guilty of slimming their already small waists and arms, and fixing facial imperfections, even editing their hair volume.’
Specialist plastic surgeon Dr Scott Turner agrees that the easiest way to know how a change will look on a patient is with 3D imaging.
‘We can manipulate on a screen what your nose, for example, will look like. Often people who bring in photos just think the celebrity is attractive overall, but they can’t pinpoint what is so special about any one feature,’ he told FEMAIL.
‘Pictures are often useful to get an idea in general but the 3D images are much more helpful.’
